Planning permission has been granted and the demolition is well underway. A new sports pavilion for Langton Green Community Sports Association is coming soon.
Langton Green Community Sports Association have been awarded a grant of £384,000 from the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund. Funded by the Premier League, The FA, and the Government, via Sport England, the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund is delivered by the Football Foundation, the country’s largest sports charity. Since it was launched in 2000, the Foundation has supported more than 13,000 grassroots projects worth over £1.3 billion.
This latest grant will enable Langton Green Community Sports Association to build a new state-of-the-art clubhouse at Langton Recreation Ground, which will provide a home for a thriving football community, as well as Langton Green Netball Club and various other community sports.
The new facility will include a very generous function room, with high ceilings and a serving window to the kitchen. The 2 large changing rooms are to high FA standards, and include showers and toilets. There will also be officials changing, storage rooms, and offices.
