Directline Structures are the Design and Build contractor constructing a new steel frame Sports Hall for the Ockendon Academy, Essex.
The project had been through a tendering process and prices were substantially over budget. So the Academy approached Directline Structures to help them achieve an affordable building.
Through collaboration and a clear understanding of the clients requirements, we made changes to the design to make significant cost savings and bring the project back on budget. Significantly, the size and functionality of the building remained unchanged.
The Sports Hall will include a 6 badminton court hall, provision for changing rooms, storage and a PE office.
The specification will be the same high quality, durable finish that Directline Structures are renowned for.
Now on site, the steel frame is up and the wall cladding is underway and the scale of the hall can really be appreciated.
