Progress at St Edmund’s School sports hall, Surrey, is full steam ahead after an enforced summer break due to Covid-19. The steel frame structure is being fitted out for its multi-purpose use, including high-tech Drama installations. Most importantly, the school’s Christmas dinner will go ahead this year, thanks to the use of the large hall space.
The project is a complete Design and Build package, from concept design and planning approval, to construction. The client has the benefit of a single point of contact throughout design and construction and we are working closely with the appointed client agents Geoffrey Barnett Associates.
The completed building will include a generous foyer, toilets, classroom and drama studio with access to the main hall, and a multi-purpose storage area. The design incorporates numerous flexible features, like the foundations and overall structure for a moveable wall in the classroom, allowing the building to adapt as requirements change in the future.
