A Kent County Council project for a special needs school in Margate, Kent. The brief was a new 3 court sports hall with changing accommodation, as well as a new entrance for the school with offices and reception.
Numerous sports hall schemes had been proposed over the years for the school, but none had made it to fruition. This made it even more special to hand over the new facility to them when they hadn’t believed it would ever happen.
Directline Structures were invited to tender for the project based on an outline design, which had not gone to planning yet. By applying our Design and Build, and in particular Sports Hall design, experience we were able to improve the design and save the client money.
